Hijab and Fashion.

Okay, I haven't talked on a good topic for so long. Asyik rants je kan? Well okay, I saw a tweet saying something like, "Hijab is misused these days. Its been used to enhance beauty rather than hide the beauty."

I'm like, dudeeee are you kidding me?

First, hijab's main purpose is to cover your aurat. The best one is the one which covers down till your chest. And it doesn't matter how you wear it, whichever kind of style or fashion you put it on, as long as it covers your aurat, I find nothing wrong there. Kan?

And hide the beauty? Siapa kata hijab is to hide your beauty? Most people look sweeter and prettier and simply more beautiful when they wear hijab. Then, are you telling me to not wear hijab so I can hide the beauty? And no I'm not being vain here to say I'm pretty or whatever, it's general okay. I'm talking about all girls now, not just myself.

Tapi of course juga, Islam agama yang bersederhana. Jangan over the top sangat kot. Tapi selagi menutup aurat, tak menyerupai agama dan jantina lain, suci, inshaallah okay je.

Also, people might say "Habis tu yang pakai sebab tudung sebab fashion tu? Kat Malaysia pakai bila keluar buka." Well that's a whole different thing. That's related to your nawaitu, it has got nothing to do with "enhancing or hiding your beauty". Whatever we do, we have to ensure that the reason is Allah SWT. Even if you wear purdah jubah and whatsoever, if niat tu bukan kerana Allah, tak ada maknanya.

People like to complicate simple things. Why don't we work on things yang memang terang-terangan salah instead of this? I think it's better if kita nasihat kawan muslimah kita yang tak pakai tudung to start wearing one, kan?

I'm not saying girls who wear hijab are saints, but inshaallah, bila niat kita betul ingin berubah ke arah kebaikan demi Allah, bukanlah demi parents ke boyfriend ke apa, inshaallah Allah tunjukkan kita jalan sebenar.

That's just my opinion on this topic based on my little knowledge. If anyone has a dalil or hadith which can relate to this topic, I'll be happy to get a feedback :) assalamualaikum :D
