"I tak siap homework at least I pergi kelas."
"Pakai baju fit pun at least aku pakai tudung."
"Though I tak pakai tudung, at least I solat."
"Solat akhir waktu, at least solat kan?"
"Aku pergi clubbing, at least aku Islam."
Kerana manisnya at least, betulkan? Kita selalu guna. It made me realise that everytime we use at least, we're comparing ourselves to others and we're trying to prove that we're better.
Pause for a second and think, do all the at leasts make you better than everyone else? Will all the at leasts guarantee your place in the heaven? The answer is obviously no. Kenapa nak guna "at least", why don't we replace it with ;
"I should've siapkan my homework before pergi kelas."
"Aku sepatutnya tutup aurat, bukan setakat bertudung je."
"I hope one day Allah akan bagi I hidayah untuk I pakai tudung."
"Solat akhir waktu kali ni, I'll try to solat lagi awal untuk waktu seterusnya."
"Aku Islam. Clubbing tu benda tak baik. I should stop."
Better, aren't they? So inshaallah lepas ni, if terlepas cakap "at least" tu, muhasabah diri balik. Is our "at least" good enough? Or we could've done better?
The idea of this post is not fully originated from my brain, it's something that I read years ago from one of my brother's friend's blog I've no idea if that blog still exist. And until now, I can never forget it. It's something yang sangat terkena batang hidung sendiri.
A reminder for myself, and for all Muslims. Inshaallah. Assalamualaikum :)
