I can't help wishing I were somewhere else, with my family or friends.

I expected my birthday this year to be a dull one since its in the middle of the examinations but still, a wish doesn't really require much effort.

Maybe even if I were home there wouldn't be any fancy celebrations, but surely I'll be showered with wishes from my family members in real life and texts from close friends. 

Being here? Despite being surrounded by the people you know, your friends for two years or more and no one actually remembers it's your birthday pretty suck.

It's my first time having to have my birthday away from home and I sure as hell wish this would be the last.

There are times where you feel like you don't even know who your friends are. And this day makes me realize how very few out of the many people that I call friends are real friends.
