Why am I here?

"Sometimes Allah gives you a friend, to help you find a way out."

A good friend once told me that.

And all praises to my Lord, He is indeed the only one who holds your heart. He can put it in misery, it's also Him who put it back in peace.

The secret to peacefulness of mind? When your brain finally gets the answer to "what is my purpose of life? Why am I here?". You'll never be at peace if you can't answer that. You can distract yourself, ignore the question but it'll come back haunting you at the end of he day.

I'm not sure if I've found mine. I'm still trying to figure it out. I know, it's written in the Quran the purpose if life is to be an abid and a khalifah, but there are different ways of getting there, no? And I haven't found my way. I'm lost, but I won't give up in my attempt to find a way there.

Putting my trust in Him, I believe I'll find a way out.
