Oxygen and brain.

What are the similarities between those two despite having the same last letter of n? They're the kind of blessings that God has lent to us, yet have we ever stop and think, to thank Him for all that?

This thought hits me while I was doing my test on the sample of abnormal urine, while waiting for the lecturer to come and see my report, while listening to the lecturer asking questions to other students.

The way the brain works is just beyond logic. You wouldn't know your limits until you challenge them. I suck at memorising, I'll read stuffs before exams, study just like what all students do. (except that I always have more than enough sleep, while the other BDS students are busy burning the midnight oil)

I'll wake up the next morning with an empty mind, like when people ask me this and that it seems like I haven't read a thing. My brain was totally shut, all the connections to my learning memories were blocked.

Yet, the moment you see the question, everything comes out and even the things that you thought you've never read, you suddenly remembered. Quoting my anatomy mam "circuits are activated".

During exams, you would wish for all the circuits to be activated but at some other times, you would wish for all the circuits to break open, for all the memories to be lost somewhere in the neurons of the brain.

Isn't it weird? You might not have the slightest idea about half the things in your very own brain, until something triggered it. A question, a song, a smell or a sight of something.

The thing about me is, once my brain is stimulated, everything cascades out from it. It's out of my control. An advantage while I'm in the exam hall, but definitely not when I was struggling to sleep at night.

But still, I am thankful.
