Deceiving smiles.

She smiles.
That's what she does.
She smiles to everyone that crosses her path,
It not much but that's as much as she can offer.

Is she smiling because someone sends her flowers,
Or is she smiling because today the sun finally rises,
Or is it simply because of a good breakfast?

If anyone had paid more attention,
If anyone had bothered to look closely enough,
Her smiles never reach her eyes.

It's a smile that conceals pain,
It's a smile that hides a sleepless night,
It's a smile that deceives happiness,

So no one would ask "are you alright"
So she doesn't have to lie
Faking an "I'm fine"
